took car to finally get valve cover and gasket replaced, i've had gaskets replaced yrs ago then they send out recall on front one probably got 5 recall cards reminding me to take car in.. so i decided i'd let them replace before i did big 3 wires.. they call me say intake manifold leaking like crazy, $819 to fix.. my mechanic said $500 and that includes gaskets, antifreeze and super charger oil. he has to remove supercharger thats y it's probably sounds like $200 more than some cars.. man i can win, i was gonna sell pioneer sub and at amp this week, get big 3 wires and a d2 sub soon and sell fu..

ikr but i guess it's good i found out b4 i did new wires under hood.. my mechanic will fix it mon/tues.. on a good note at least the new valve cover from recall looks good..

no i will not be removing supercharger., my mechanic builds race motors (and worked at chevy dealer 15 yrs) i'll let him do it for $500..

It's not that hard unless you have like zero tools or physically incapable. Go to the library and photocopy the Chilton's or Haynes shop books. I'm sure there are even Youtube vids.

youtube....fawk those Chilton books. 1/2 of info sometimes isn't there. If he's able to score a Service Manual, so much easier/better than those Chilton books. Got one for free for the Jetta and comes in handy.

Pretty sure he's physically unable to. No tools either....hopeless huh lol

My s10 had a recent head gasket done as well...400 bucks. It's a lot of work, lots of parts needed to be removed. I'll gladly pay someone under the table to do it. There's some things I'll do and some I won't.

and my dash lol.. i just read that it's a common problem with gm they say dexcool messes up the gasket..
