Free Box Plans (again)

Find a way to fit 4 12" Ks ported to 28 hz. for a good SQL system in the back of my 1997 Taurus. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

No I wasn't trying to be a thread jacker. I was just saying that since there are about 3-5 popular requests, and since there will be 1 free box design, maybe people could look at Bill T's boxes and then those who don't have a RE HC 15 can get a free design from LoneRanger.

I wasn't trying to be a dick or steal anything, just trying to get it so everyone can have a box design, more people satisfied the better IMO.

Sorry

No love lost, BooLean. I was actually going to post both plans anyway.

This week there's a special catch to getting your free plans.

You gotta go over to my new forum at ssaudio.com //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif'

Since I'm giving you two free plans for the price of one (RE HC 12" and XXX 15", don't complain.

Possible ya make one for a XXX15" with 2 slot ports tuned at 30Hz?

You ever found a difference firing the ports in a different direction than the driver? Ive wondered if that would sound any louder...

BIll T.

Thanks a lot. I'm sure these plans will help out many people //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Again, I wasn't trying to jack the thread.

Thanks,

Craig G

Can anyone say "CRX" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

My last box and the one i'm working on right now have top-mounted subs and rear-firing ports. It works well in some cars, and not so well in others. Experimentation is the key, young grasshoppah

I plan to experiment. I thought about 2 firing at an angle and 2 firing back.. with 2 ports dead top and 2 firing back.

Is it true, when you fire a port or sub upwards that the sound reflects off the top and hits the port or sub causing odd noises or interference?

Not if you do it right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Most of the noise from a ported box comes from the port. The sub is just there to pump air out of the port.

Thanks for the feedback. It was a long shot but there will definitely be much more powerful subs in the trunk, so clearing it out isn't an option...
