Free air 8" sub

The correct terminology is "infinite baffle". Even though they were referred to as "free air" a million years ago.
Any sub with a healthy xmax and high(ish) Qts will do well. Look for something over .5
Lol your profile pic... what the hell? Is that a real sign? If so, what town?

The Pioneer 2015 model shallow 8" is made for installation into a rear deck. I haven't tried one yet but I read they designed it to fit easily into factory 8" sub locations so you won't have to cut metal. I would do a small ported enclosure to make a better increase in loudness of the bass and put a remote level knob up front.

I was thinking about a small ported 8" or even 6.5". I want it to be as factory/not visible as possible. My wife is not into car audio at all....
