Foxbody vs 3rd gen

Im looking to get a muscle car soon and its either a foxbody mustang(86-93) or a 3rd gen Camaro(83-90).

If i get the stang i will swap a mild 351w in her or do a LSx swap in the camaro .

Any have or drove either?

If you have the funds to do a lsx swap into the camaro, you should look into doing a 4.6/5.4 mod swap into the mustang. in your situation, I would do the fox body, I love those mustangs. Buddy of mine had a '85 gt, was quite the pocket rocket. OTOH, the camaro has that awesome cubby in the back that perfectly fits a pair of 12's, if that is one of your criteria.

302s are great motors, and can be built pretty cheaply, plus the stangs are soooo light. Stang fo sho

Get something other than either of those two. There are already way to many ******* mustangs and camaros on the road as it is. If anything go chevy. Get an LSx motor. They are some of the most mod-responsive motors out. I just got a 06 GTO i plan on doing some work to this winter.

I can agree with that they are cheap fast lightweight and fun....just why so ugly?

i wouldnt call either of those a muscle car, gotta be something from the 60's or 70's, the only place i see 80's mustangs or camaros is the trailer park

Another thing,the foxbody would be a manual and the camaro would be an auto since the manual ***** are hard to find in decent shape in my price range.

my buddies have both of these... the camaro was a z28 with some work done on it. but it was a 96. the generation your looking at, why? their nothing special...

the fox body stangs i guess are fast. but still.. not my preference. what made you choose these two cars? whats your budget?
