So today (Sunday, May 16) was the first local USACI comp. Friday me and my buddy decided to throw something in my 5.0 Fox Body and see what we could do. The equipment I decided to use was 2 Kinetik 2400s, 2 15" WMDs, MMATTS 3500.1, and 1 run of 1/0. We threw a box together in a day, 3 cubes tuned to 49hz. I was entering to Super Stock 0-600 so had to keep it below the window line and behind the c pillar.
Got it in. Subs wired at .8 ohms. Clamped it at 3225 watts, box rise was 1.1 ohms.
First number did a 149.1
Second run 149.4
Then gave batts a full charge moved some things around
Third run 149.9
Fourth run 149.8
It peaked at 67hz. Couldnt quite squeeze a 150 out of it. I was kind of surprised at such a high peak but it was fun. Took first in my class. I was impressed with it for just throwing it all in in a day. Well just thought I would share. Let me know what you guys think or maybe give me some tips on getting fox bodies louder if anyone has ever messed with them. I might take some pics of it and put them up if you guys are interested.
