four channel amp for four different

Need a Four channel amp for two different RMS rated pair of speakers.

I gave my 10.5LF Boston Pro sub and box with the alpine mrd501 amp when I had it upgraded. I also just upgraded my rear fill from Polk to CDT so I gave him my Polks (they were blown and Tweeter replaced them so he is getting brand new speakers). He is putting the sub and 5.25 in a late 80s or early 90s Ford Bronco and will also upgrade the 6X9s just behind the front doors. The question is the Polk 6X9s are 100 watts RMS and the 5.25s are 50 watts RMS, so how or can you power both pairs of speakers of the same four channel amp?

JL 500/5, im pimping it because i own it and want to hear that it dosen't ****... so yeah, there it is... good amp... and stuff and you could power the sub with it too....

or you could get a six channel amp, (i know jl makes one and im sure others do too) and bridge the channels so for example a 6x45 watt amp could put 90 to both fronts and 45 to the backs.

Just be careful with your gain on whatever channels the lesser rms speakers will be connected to.

So do some or all four channel amps have separate gain controls for the front and rear channels?

All quality amps will have a seperate gain control for the A and B channels.

Side note- When using a high pass xover you increase the speakers RMS power handling, so if set the smaller speakers xover at a higher frequency you can put more power into them.
