four 8's vs one 15

i have two e8v3's right now and im looking into getting two more. wich would be louder? the 15 would be a audioque hdc3 15. i want it for a daily system but i also want to compete 1-2 times a year. no amp yet still looking for one

I would do a single 15, I would choose a different one though. If you want to PM me or something we can talk in detail.

15's are my favorite.

Cone area might be similar but mechanical throw the 15 will win. As for SPL it could go either way depending on box but daily the 15 would work better.

single sub setups are easily to deal with IMO, like if you blow a single sub you only have to recone 1 sub. so 4 can be a bit more costly if you blow more then 1

Im going to disagree, with 4 8s you have more coil, more motor force and more cone, oh and i am going to be running 4 8s lol
