I know someone was asking about the audiopipe eye-candy things, but these ain't them(idk 2.5" vc seems weak...)

These are audiopipe's best subwoofer I guess, made for spl lol. They're packing another 250rms than the candies. The efficiency is rated @ 98.6db!!! I'm considering picking 2 of these up to go with my 2 t1500-1bd's. My other probable choice is some WMD 15's. Will be running 1600-1700 watts to each of them. Does anybody have any experience with these? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

and why do they put ghey dudes in the pics??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

They don't post full T/S parameters. Probably because of lack of quality control between batches. Secondly no one running AP gear is knowledgeable enough to care. Regardless the 98db of effeciency is BS. Unless AP takes pro audio driver and rebadges them under their name. My gues is that's an in car measurement not at 1k.

I have no experience with the iPipe's, but 2nd hand info, is that they perform fairly well. They aren't DD's, but still a decent mid-priced SPL woofer.

The parameters aren't worth a crap though. 98 sensitivity... 8-layer flat black...PMPO. Disregard completely. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

The fact remains that AP produces decent stuff, even if the marketing team can't speeky no eenglish, or properly advertise specs.

I'd talk with John Carr, since he has experience with these woofers. Few others here do.

that motor is based off the older jugg motor and is a good motor. the eyecandy txx -apx have 3" coils in the 12s and 15s the 10 has a 2.5" coil.

the older txx-ap's had a 2.5" coil and i did a install with a 1200rms amp per coil lasted 2 yrs...

dont knock until you try them because audiopipe dose bang good. no they arent DD's but ur not paying that eather...

It's probably an accurate spec, but when you think about it, it isn't a fair comparison.

Take a 1ohm resistor (which is probably how they wired the dual 2 ohm coils), and apply 2.83V to it you'll see that the resistor is dissipating 8 watts. If they listed a 1w/1m efficiency my guess is it would be around 89-90dB, which doesn't sound too far off for a 15" subwoofer.

those audio pipes bang hard as hell and sound good doin it too.. my boy cody has 8 in his expedition wit 2 audiopipe 3000 watt amps powering themm hittin around 155ish dont know fo sure though....
