But looking into what tweets to go along with them... I ended up choosing the aurum cantus AC-180F1D.. they are a nice 7" dvc mid / midwoofer. And with an fs of 36hz midbass should be all I could ask for... and a responce that extends into the 6K range "looking to cross under 3K in an active setup" they babies should be pretty dynamic I hope... efifciency is not bad at 90dbm

Good part is that my current auras are deeper than these haha, so depth is not an issue as well as mounting in my tC's doors are they have a nice large area...

Any thoughts..?

Here are the specs...

they are a little bumpy around were I want to cross them, but nothing that cannot be taken care of //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Graphs are in the link.

Yeah it gets a little out of hand at 1k..... you're going to need a lot of eq if you x-over at 3.

Looking to cross well under 3K Searching for the right tweek that will let me cross around 2K or so. Also with a full 1/3 octave eq per channel, I think I will be more than ok with a little tiny bu just after 1K //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

how much $$ for the auras? got a link to them pleze
I did not say the auras were for sale, you could not pry them out of my cold dead hands *LOL* This new project is a mix of my ideas and in the end after cash is spent, I may not be happy at all so I am keeping them as they are about the most mellow, natural, perfect sounding speakers I have heard in the sub $500 range. I love them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I am just craving a LOT more mid bass... these aurums seem to fit the bill amazingly well.

Up in the air... may order in 3 of the aurum cantus mkII 10" subs... need to verify the box volume needed to make them sing before, but I think I can make them work in the space I ha e. Many they are sexy.. all black and clean looking.

Ive been dealing with aurum for awhile and used alot of there stuff. There ribbon tweeters are awesome just wanted to throw that out there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The mids however are a little picky in a car. The drivers can easly exceed there mechanical limits when run IB and highly advice you stay far away from them if an IB install is what is going to be done.

Right on thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And no, it will not be an ib install. Going to seal up and chamber part of the door as best I can. I think I can seal her enought to compliment the drivers suspension...
