It will be in a single prefab vented box 1.85 cube tuned to 38

IMO, those Fosgate P2D2's will do fine in that prefab box.. But depends on you're into really: vented/ported or sealed boxes.

Go for the Fosgates if you're a vented/ported box type of person, Or the CVR122's if you're a sealed box person.

Only things worth mentioning made by JL are their slash amps, the W6's and W7's. Wouldn't bother with W0's if I were you. I'm no Caraudio.com veteran, but seemingly 85-95% of the people on here would say the same thing: Slash amps, W6's, W7's the rest isn't worth mentioning.

I figured the fosgates were my best option but input from people with more experience

than I have would be good...I haven't had a substage for about 6 yrs

I'm not sure what you're looking for whether it's a sub that will perform better in a sealed box, or ported box. You're trying to stick with the 300w RMS area right?

Others should chime in with suggestions of like Sundown Audio - 8" subs.. maybe if you're willing to splurge a bit a DC Audio 10".

Really depends on your budget and how firm you are on that set budget.

For just over a hundy you could snag yourself a SSA DCON and get a much better sub than the ones you listed, IMO. @denim ; care to chime in?

This. And the HD and XD amps are good. I wouldn't ever buy something at a low price point from JL. Way overpriced, but their w6 and w7 are baller.

Not familiar with SSA's at all, wouldn't want to suggest something that I've never seen in person.

So that means you should remove Sundown, Dayton, IA, Image Dynamics, and tons of other extremely capable subs from the lineup. Youtube has a ton of videos showing what these things can do and you have first-hand accounts from users like us to back them up. I say SSA because you get much better performance for the same price point. But if you don't want to take my recommendation, that's your choice.

JL 12wov3 is garbage

The Cvr is basically garbage

Rf P2 is below average

The prefab box will be horse shit.

Then YOU don't suggest it, let other people who know about the brand suggest it. SSA is high quality American made gear. Please make useful comments.

Not saying I don't trust other's impressions of SSA at all. It's my fault for being inexperienced with the brand apparently.
