I only have 5 cubes of usable space. I can't get a crazy efficient box in there. There for I will build for what I enjoy the most.
You will end up with less space do to a longer port. I would imagine you would find a better result by opening up the port area and tuning a bit higher then you expect to. The results once it is in the car can be very impressive. If you are building it for HT purpose then I understand the tuning a bit more.
I have the mid bass to cover it. ZR8s in the doors play down to 60 strong. I'm going to take every picture I can to get it right this time.
There is a big gap where an enclosure tuned that low will roll off and the mids would pick up at 60hz though.

time for a new brand? no trolling intended but if it were me and i had more than 3 fails that company is nixed for me. look at hifonics. i got rid of them the second they started to fail. there are other brands that can keep up with your dc's or get some custom ones. just my .2
As long as they keep taking care of me I'll use them. The sub on fire was my own fault and they fixed it for free. I love the amp, and the prices I get now.

Running the amp full tilt with the voltage in the 11s. Sub caught fire and I had to cut it open in a parking lot. Really though. Tell any other company that has a sub you can put this much power on and get this preformance out of and not have the occasional issue.
