I'm still raising the BS flag....and what Yamaha motor did you put in it?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
the Yamaha motor is from teh factory... teh SHO had a YAMAHA ENGINE AND SUSPENSION...

OK. But 260 HP isn't enough to get that big fat ass car moving into the 14's stock. Turbo would likely put it into the mid 13's, and NOS...depending on the size might get it into the low 12's.

But either way, there are no minor mods done to it.

theres NO WAY. what kind of person would use a taurus as a base for a drag car. theyre a 4door sedan, way too heavy, no pick up!! even an SHO with mods would be ridiculous. ... what a waste of money it would be to make it do 11's. youd be better off.. with just about any car

Correct me if I'm wrong (I don't knwo much about American motorsports), but as far as NASCAR's Taurus goes, isn't it really just a plastic cover that goes on a tub and only shaped like a Taurus for marketing reasons?

With all said, Let me jsut say this. I could beat a stock ford taurus in my chrysler minivan and still have time to stop for lunch(I dont drive the minivan, momma's). Those taurus's are the slowest things I have EVER driven. I have to floor every acceleration because it is so weak. Also, who.....and I mean WHO, would waste there money in suping up a Ford Taurus?? Why wouldnt you jsut buy a car same price that is made to be suped up, not a dammn ford taurus.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif :nono: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif :nono: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif

I've never driven an SHO. I had a new 01 Taurus as a company car at my old job, slow as ****. Guy that worked there had an older SHO and said it was alot slower than he had imagined....

I just know, with the mods he listed, that thing is barely breaking the mid 13's....

I'll believe the mod list when I see some proof. It's typical for somebody to claim those things when somebody calls BS on them. Do you even have a clue what an 11 second quarter mile is like? You'd need around 500hp (at the wheels!) and significant weight reduction to be running 11's in that thing. To get that kind of power from the SHO V6 engine, you would need to be running a single large turbo, not "turbos", and the only purpose of the nitrous would be as a cooling charge in the intake. You would also need to have completely built up the bottom end of the engine to survive all the boost. You would need aftermarket heads to drop compression to a reasonable level to handle the 20+lbs of boost required, unless you enjoy rebuilding your engine after every 1/4 mile run. In no conceivable way does any of this fall under "minor mods".

oh yeah well i got a 1934 station wagon, runs 10.4 's

threw in a nagasaki motor with some muffler bearings, couple pounds of NOS

a cardboard wing, some 22's w/ low profile tires, and those sticker flames add a little extra boost, wanna race for pink slips?

I would like to raise the point that 9 times out of 10 when someone refers to a nitrous system (dry foger or direct port) as NOS, he has watched Fast and the Furious too many times and feals over confident in his abilty to ******** about car preformance.

Anyways...was the SHO RWD? i thought it was front and I dont care what mods are on a FrontWD car....its hard as hell to run 11's with that....must be one moded out ride....lol

standard for acceleration to 100 km/h (62mph) in 4.2 seconds. After 9.2 seconds the speedometer reading is 160 (99.4mph) km/h and the top speed is 305 km/h (189.5)

theres some speed!
