this is my friends car, he just got it back. its a ford taurus, (SHO super high output motor) it has some engine mods, not alot, but some. i know what your thinking heh.. suprisingly this car, runs 11's!. sorry if the pics are crappy, just thought i would share. goes to show, there are some ricers who can hand your a*ss to you, or atleast put up a good fight trying.

Other than that, I'll raise the BS flag.

I'd have to agree here. With the little that I do know about cars, i do know that Taurus' are slow!! and with not a lot of engine mods there is no way you can get that car down to 11 sec's. Nice try though, but you couldn't even fool a noobie

ive been in a stock ford taurus sho it was the older model thought the squarer ones and we got it up to 148mph i thought it was pretty fast for it being stock i think the older ones could get down in the 11's low 12's

The SHO Taurus's are governed at 128....so it was just the speedo that went to 148. But even then. My car is governed at 149 (never had it there, or close), and there is no way I could get it into the 11's. Those 4 door sedans are too heavy. So without considerable weight reductions, and ALOT of mods, there's no way that car will run 11's.

There is no way in hell that that car is an 11 sec. car unless he put a HUGE s/c or turbo on the engine. I have driven a manual SHO and yes they are faster then you would expect, but no way in the 11 sec......I drive a 93 BMW 325is w/ basic bolt on mods and I have eaten SHO up for dinner, and my car isn't that fast in the first place //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

nono.. the taurus has a brand new yahmaha engine... turbo's, and nos hooked up. i swear this thing DOES run 11's...(maybe 12's). i will post a video up here next week.

O well if it has turbos' and it is tuned correct it could be doing the 11s, but you said that it was running 11s w/o major mods. that is almost impossible to run 11s with few mods unless you have a eclipse gsx or talon awd w/ turbo upgrades.

the SHO had a Yamaha engine and suspension designed for their new car, (back in 1989). Yamaha ran out of funding for the project so ford bought up the suspension and the engine... Ibeleive the peak SHO had it coming stock with 260 hp.. nice peppey car...
