Ford Smart Charge HELP

I have a 2016 Ford Fiesta ST. I have noticed that while driving, my battery voltage goes to 12.6 most of the time. When I turn the headlights on it jumps to 13.5. And when I really get on it (like redlining through gears) it will be finally at 14.5.

I have researched and this is due to a system called Smart Charge. Basically the alternator turns on and off to save fuel.

Does anyone have experience with bypassing this?

mine does it. It will eventually learn and stop doing it.
I've had the car for a year and it does it.

I'm wondering if I can just unplug the connector that links the alternator to the PCM so it'l just be a normal alternator.
