I need to reach out to all my Ford guys here. I have a 1999 f350 crew cab and am looking for some box detentions. I am looking to do 2 ported 10's behind the rear seat. I have been searching around and have yet to find a ported box that is for my truck. I have 2 alum10q's sitting here that i am looking to throw in there. There brand spanking new and i have had them for a while. Ported box volumes are .6- 2.35 Cubic ft. The sensitivity is 95.6 dB with a frequency response 20 - 500 Hz.

Thanks guys for your help,

Rob

Yeah its a 7.3L. I think i can get 60" wide and 17" tall by 8" bottom and 4" top. But im not sure how to get my ports right. I dont know if i need a tube or a slot port and how to make it work with what i have.

there's online calculators to find out how large diameter and length tube you need to get to your desired tuning frequency and for slot ports as well. as for which one is better it's up to you. round ports require you to buy pvc whereas slot ports are essentially free.

as for which direction to fire the port it's hard to say what would be loudest.... you would have to find someone that's tried a couple different designs in that particular vehicle.

try this. http://www.the12volt.com/info/diagrams.asp
