Nice, I haven't read a motor trend, or a Car and Driver for a month or so...

I've only been reading Sport Compact Car, and Super Street.

Maybe it's time to get a subscription to C&D, or maybe even a Ford magazine.

yeah, maybe, but last time i read an article on it, i heard that it was producing 500 HP, all aluminum heads and crap.. not much else you are gonna be able to do to it, other than lowering the compression, and upping the boost.

Super Charger, camshaft...blah, blah, blah...It will be putting out over 1000 easy with about 5-7k in mods...

gettin 1000 HP with only 7k dollars is not that ez. A smaller pulley on the supercharger would increase the boost. and thats a 200 dollar upgrade. cams for that engine will be like 500, and only give you 25-30 HP.. i don't think that it would be that easy to get 1000 hp out of it for only 7 grand.

lol. a supercharger for a friggin Integra is 3500 dollars.

and to make a car have 1000 HP, you will have to balance, blueprint, and re-do abs. everything in the engine, because when there is that much Power going through your crank, that much boost going through the valves (springs would have to be upgraded 500-600 dollars. maybe 1000 dollars for titanium), porting and polishing, heads, ect.. that will ad up to another 40 k dollars.. in MY opnion.

I can't remember if the engine in the GT-40 is the 351, or the 290somethin.. let me know what size the engine is, and i'll estimate the HP levels... in my opinion.

A good Mustang Supercharger is less than 2750...

Saleen will make one...I guarantee...As for balancing...not always That engine will be made for abuse...crank and all. Ford is serious on this one...

I know that ford is serious about this one.. but 1000 HP is a whole fudgeload of HP. and it requires very very precice manufacturing. Ford cannot afford to do that to each individual part of the engine.

And as for the Saleen supercharger, that's gonna run you a penny. I'm pretty sure that it already has Jackson's top-of-the line screw supercharger, it would have to be spinning like no tomorrow to produce 1000 HP w/o nitrous, and i don't think that any supercharger under 6k will be be able to produce 20-30 lbs of boost.
