How was it getting the Hex's in the doors? Did you use spacers?

Can those that responded send or post some pictures? Just wondering how everyone made out mounting components in the doors. I have a 98 Civic in progress but only have a Pioneer head unit so far.
Pictures of my setup are on my SD page listed in my sig.

What size components fit in the doors? I have a 98 civic. I was thinking about getting the re components (6.5") but i dont think that will fit

95 Civic EX-R

Rockford Fosgate 8250ti

RS-Audio Tec 6.5" components

Magnum d2

Zapco 360 (bridged for components)

Crossfire BMF 1000d for sub

2 cubic foot box tuned to 29hz

Oh, OK...I think I was forgetting that you need to have a Kanji symbol by the "R" to get the real added power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ive got a 90 civic 4 dr with 6 1/2" crystal csc60s components in the doors.

speaker depth allowance is 1 3/4" in this honda.

These components require a 2 1/2" mounting depth.

Therefore a 1" spacer was made ( I measured the depth allowance wrong the first time!~)

I'm making a 3/4" spacer now.

To install the wiring, you can either drill through the molex plug (very carefully) and thread the wires through the stock housing into the cabin of the vehicle

OR drill a hole in the actual door right next to the molex plug. Slip a rubber grommett on the hole, thread your speaker wires through, and thread through rubber housing on the exterior portion (where wires travel from door to cabin. Cut into the stock housing and thread your wire the rest of the way through there. Silicone the wire/grommett juncture for better seal.

The easiest way to make the spacer hole is to use a hole saw bit on a drill. Use a jigsaw for the outer shape.
