For Those With Honda Civic

Hi everybody, for all of you with honda civic what is your current setup, subs, enclosure type/size, you know.

I have a 2000 4 door sedan, with 2 jl 12w3vd-d4 on a sealed enclosure, mtx two channel amp (bridged), pioneer four channel amp, pioneer head unit, pioneer eq, boston acoustic components, pioneer 6"X9", sound quest 1/2 farad capacitor, monster cable wiring.

i dont personally have one but my cousin has a 03 coupe with alpine HU, audiobahn components, and a alum15q audiobahn sub in a custom enclosure, rockford 501x for the compnents ana a A1800hq or somethin audiobahn amp (the 3600w one)

Can those that responded send or post some pictures? Just wondering how everyone made out mounting components in the doors. I have a 98 Civic in progress but only have a Pioneer head unit so far.

thats my SD site, those are old pics. equipment has changed, and is going to change soon.

on the SD site, my HEX components are in q-forms in the kick panel area, but they are currently in the doors in my car. i am getting the new diamond audio d9 components next month, they consist of a 7" mid and 1" tweeter, that will not fit in my door because my shallow HEX barely fit, so i'm going to have to build new kick panels for them.

the clarion 835mp on the SD site was replaced by an eclipse 8053 and currently, a clarion drz9255. i have two D7 amps instead of the one D7 and D5 amp like the SD site, and i dont have the audiocontrol DQT or epic 160.

a more custom looking install coming in a month or so, kick panels with d9 components, and currently working on installing katzkin leather (black leather with black suede inserts).

poor civic, gets something changed like every week, lol.

How was the sound in the kick panels? Is it better than right in the door?

well i'm still in the process of installation but here is what i have...

front stage: adire audio koda components

powered by mtx thunder404 which will give them about 200rms

bass: 2 adire audio shivas in a 4.6 cubic ft ported box tuned to 35hz

i liked the sound in the kick panels, but the q-forms by themselves are not rigid enough and they made my speakers sound like they had no midbass. the q-forms also protruded out a lot and got in the way of my leg.

i was going to build kicks for my HEX, but ended up putting them in my doors and forgeting about them.

if you can, try them in the kick panel area, i think you will like the sound.
