For those who appreciate talented rap

Check out Babbletron's Mechanical Royalty cd, and their Ramble Anonymous EP. RJD2 and MF Doom guest produce on MR, and some of the beats are way ahead, imo, then whats happening today. I think their producer is incredible at producing beats you can hear time and time again, and are still as innovative as the first time you hear them. The uses of subways and sirens as beats from New York really ties in their relation to the city.

Lyrically, sometimes its like... imagine if you could describe your thought process when you're really high..how everything is a little more detailed, and you use just the right words to describe how it feels.. its like that. The ryhmes are sometimes serious, sometimes just joking around using clever lines that actually make you laugh sometimes.

I've been listening to these guys for years, but never really paid attention to them until recently.

If you want either cd, hit me up on aim.

These cats are so blah
I dont think so at all. You can't justlisten to it once or twice, you have to really focus on the lyrics... digest them. I love their clever enuendo's(sp) and "Birds" is a really good song about women, along with broke down.

Its more rap that you listen to high, because you can really focus on the words more, and sorta "feel" the music better. IMO. I know that sounds stupid, but someone here knows what I'm talking about.

well then i guess I will never be able to 'digest' them because i value my brain cells //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

No. Lyrics are great and all, but they're meaningless if the people spitting them ****. Illogic is a good writer, but his monotonous flow and cadence makes him unbearable after a listen or two. Sage Francis is an absolutely incredible writer, but it's impossible to listen to him because he simply has no idea how to rap. I'd rather listen to music that is just good, rather than "digest" something over and over, trying to force myself into liking something just because some fool can string a dope sentence together.
