95-70 = 25...I'm not that good at calculus, but I can do that one...
Going with a lawyer is going to be more expensive initially (expect over $500 when it's all said and done), but you could be saving yourself much more than that in insurance...
Consider yourself lucky. In most places, 15mph over and more is enough to lose your license and spend a little time in jail...25 and over is considered reckless endangerment.

ya its 70mph here. I stay at around 80. No reason to go any faster. I went 90 once. Decided I am prolly losing gas quicker and stopped doing that lol

70MPH is a pretty fast limit, was going that fast really worth it versus going 75 or 80 and not have the cop give you a second look?

I have a friend here that pays his lawyer $60 and he takes car of the ticket and the points. So i was hoping that there are some similar to this one in Brevard county.
Regarless my insurance will not go up b/c im taking the class to get rid of the points, But if i get a second ticket in 18 months then my insurance goes up.
And in my defense traffic was traveling at 80mph and the cop just sat on his bike as they went by, thus i was only traveling 15mph over his standard.

I was going that fast b/c i was behing a big rig and was attempting to over take, so once i got infront of the rig i caught the cop chilling on the entrance of the on ramp, and he saw me. The guy didn't seem to want to even talk so i let him have his day.
I get about 30pmg at that speed, so i was happy w/ it. I was driving down from Savannah, GA after thanks giving with the in-laws

I believe here in ny they take your licence right there and impound your car with jail time. I got hit over 100 before but knew the cop and got out of it, things got bad around here though there getting anyone for speeding. I got nailed with a 57 in a 55. Took it to court and did a big fight. Took 3 months got it dropped to a parking ticket and paid $75 for it.
Good luck with finding someone to help, the big thing is finding someone in your area that knows the law and the area you were traveling to help you out.

When you get points like that they dont show up on your insurance unless you change companys or renew your policy and have them rerun your record to look for cheaper rates. I found this one out a few years ago.

I was until i came up to the big rig, i don't know about you but i like to see whats ahead of the car infront of me, and big rigs don't allow me to do that. and even if i gave myself over 200ft i just don't like driving behind them.
I'm really not trying to justify going fast (b/c as good as a driver as i maybe, there is always an idiot that does something that could cost you and those around you livies) Just trying to find a way to pay the ticket.

IMO, speed limits mean sh.it as long as you follow traffic. If you follow traffic, cops can;t do anything to you. You doing 95 = fuc.ked. And don't try to beat the system you won't. Saying you did 15 over means your being an obnoxious ***.

i got a tickit in savannah for ****ing 10 over i was like wtf cop was like whats the speed limit i was like 45? he was like 40 and you were going 50 i was like are you ****in serious, plus ive got like 3 near my house. speed limits ****, people need to learn how to drive and we wouldnt need them lol

They can do plenty to you. Speeding is speeding regardless of what everyone else is doing.
That's like saying "me and 9 other guys robbed 10 different banks...since everyone else was doing it the cop can't do anything to me".
Don't feel bad though. I got busted with a 19MPH over and an 18MPH over within a 3 week time frame......But on the bright side, the 2nd cop (female state trooper) was pretty dang hot. I seriously think I'd seen her in a strip club dancing before........

Well your opinion doesn't much matter when the cop is writing you a ticket for going the speed of traffic now does it? If you are going faster than the black letters on the white sign then you are speeding and can get a ticket.
If you have such a clean record my recommendation would be to try and get the ticket differed. In Wa state you can pay the price of the ticket, and have it 'on hold' for a year. If you don't get any more tickets in that year period, and I mean ANY more tickets, then this will drop off your record for good.
You can only do it onc every 7 years though (in Wa)

As he stated when i went to court the judge fought with me about speeding is speeding. I fought it hard, I was pulled out of a line of cars I was not the first and the last I was like the 4th car in a line all traveling about the same speed slow in my opinion but I got a ticket as I said for 57 in a 55. And as I said it took me 3 months of fighting it in court to get it dropped to a parking ticket and paying the fine.
