For those running active crossover setups, what outboard crossover do you recommend? Running from the head unit is not an option for me as the unit that I am using wont do that. I would like to add an outboard crossover. I'm looking so far at the Coustic XM6. Are there any other good ones?

BTW, I had an XM6... it ******...

My friend also bought one BNIB, and it arrive with a dead channel. Took forever for Mitek to repair it... and it still ******.

the 6xs seems like it would be a ***** to use since the only way i see changing the slopes and cut off frequencies would be with modifying it

The DXE looks like a nice unit, but the price is a little too much for me to justify. That Audiocontrol DQXS seems to be more fitting to my budget.

I haven't set a budget just yet as I am new to this type of setup. I'm more or less trying to see what is out there first. I've already waded through the Kicker and Audiobahn crap listed on Ebay, but need a bit of insight as to what would be a nice setup for a active 2-way front stage and a set of subs. I am going to be running 8" Dayton Reference 4-ohm mids along with Dayton RS28AS-4 tweeters. I want to cross them over at 1800hz with a 24db/octave slope. I really don't want to spend too much on this setup.
