Well of course. 100% agreed.
I wouldnt unholster either, and if I have to there is a 100% chance things arnt going to turn out too well for someone. It im forced to unholster, its getting used.
I feel ya, man. Should I ever be forced into that proverbial corner and have no choice but to come out biting then the day is going to end badly for the other guy should I have anything to say about it. I'm an Army brat so gun safety/respect was something ingrained into us almost from birth. A handgun was originally invented for a single, lone purpose ~ to kill another human being. Not an endeavor to be undertaken lightly, to be certain...
That being said, I still hope it'll never come to that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif as to the debate between ammo, we all know shot placement is what counts more then anything. I was just saying I wouldnt worry about .357 having overpenetration issues. The Rangers I just found a good deal on (bulk) and the fact that its also LE ammo was appealing to me incase legal reasons ever come up.
Like mentioned previously - I've worked out this 229 sufficiently to where I am consistently making sub-2" groupings on 3-shot bursts at both 25 and 50 yards. This Sig is a
very different animal as compared to my Rugers and consequently owns a considerably different set of mannerisms that I had to learn and become comfortable with before I could approach any sort of real proficiency with it. Now that I've worked out the interaction between man and weapon, however? Well, let's just say it would be a poor judgement call for anyone to make me genuinely fear for my life...
This isn't to say I no longer enjoy my Rugers as it would be far from the truth to make such a statement. But I think a safe generalization would be to say that this Sig is simply a different class of firearm.
If I cared about pure power, id go with hotloads. (doubletapp, etc.) either that or carry a .500 magnum //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
True that. But - akin to my commentary regarding the .44 Mag....how often is it that you go a'hunting tanks? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifOtherwise I cannot see the need or even the reasoning behind carrying so much weapon for an everyday carry piece! .500 Mag.....
man that's a heckuva lotta gun!!!
nice rig. i had a P220 in .45, boy i wish i still had that. one of the best shooting firearms i've ever had. the only one better is a browning .22 that my dad game me some time ago, i can't remeber the model # right off the top of my head. allthough i couldn't stand the stock grip on the 220, had to change it with a aftermarket grip.
I'm not a fan of the OEM composite grips on this 229 either. I'm looking into a pair of Hogues soon....
Personally I am fond of the hydrashoks, have been carrying them in my p89 and my wife even uses them in her .380.
nice sig btw Prowler, youwill not be unsatisfied by it I promise.
P89.
Ruger.
