For Slammed :)

I have a great idea. Let's build a 75w RMS per channel amplifier, only "rate" it as being 37.5w RMS. Then everybody will be super impressed with how "underrated" our amplifiers are!

PS: Wrong section noobx.

It was about amps..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

And I don't see how you can be so rude about the underrating, those amps have great measured specs apart from output.

And you posted it in the sub section //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/moon.gif.9d317aec3339ffe7fde0638df52c628a.gif

You don't "accidentially" build an amplifier that does double the rated power output.

Now, I'm not saying they are not good amplifiers. They definitely are. But it appears to me to be nothing but marketing. They rated the amplifiers at approximately half of what they designed them to do. There's nothing special about that, in and of itself, in my book. I'm sure all of their specs are great, and I'm just as sure they intentionally designed them that way.

That's like Chevy building a 400hp engine, then selling it as a 200hp engine and sending dyno sheets with each engine that shows their true power output. The engine isn't overly exceeding it's performance. It's doing exactly what they designed it to do.

Perhaps they "thought" they were building it as a Blah rated amplifier, but got a rating of blah blah more times the actual ouput, and were surprised //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Meh, im only dreaming. Damn marketing tools...

I posted in subs? Dang I must be losing it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Well how about they were so willing to stand behind their product that they rated it 1/2 the output so that you KNEW you were getting what you paid for //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
