i have a couple questions regarding speakers and amps for them.

1)are these speakers good?

They're Infinities

I would get them for a front stage

2)Would I need an amp?... cause I do want the fullest performance out of these speakers. If so would this amp be good for them?

3) One more thing, if I kept my stock speakers in the back, could I keep using them with these new speakers? Would I have to connect these stock speakers to the amp? There would be a sub in the trunk (12W7) so maybe if would be best to keep the stock speakers disconnected?

I have the 605 cs component speakers (older model). They are Ok but I’m looking to upgrade. They do lack mid-base compared to speakers for twice/three times the price but you get what you pay for. Average fidelity in the upper ranges. I would save more money and upgrade if you can but for the money, they are what they are.

Never used the amp but it’s in a good range for front speakers ie 100 rms a channel. Look into getting a 4 channel amp so you can upgrade in time to add a sub by bridging two channels. They’re not much bigger/ more expensive. Just make sure it has low and high pass filters for that set-up. For now just don’t use two channels.

Not bad. Are there better? Sure....but that applies to everything.

They should be pretty easy to locate and listen to for yourself (Circut City, etc). As with anything, you should try to listen yourself and see if you like them or not, especially with a national brand like Infinity.

Amps aren't a necessity with co-axials like they are with comps. Yes, an external amplifier would be beneficial though. Especially if you think you may upgrade in the future. That amp my be a little too powerful for those co-axials you linked....definitely would need to be careful. But, if you plan on upgrading in the future and can control yourself enough not to fry the co-axials in the mean time, that amp would be a good foundation to build from.

Yes, you could use them with the new speakers. Just run them off of the headunit. You could disconnect them also though, and would really be a good idea if they're is no "box" behind them (as the pressure from the sub in the trunk my damage them)
