For my application, get equalizer or not?

I'm getting a new setup for my new car which will consist of: CDT components up front, cheaper components in back (I don't want to hear it from you all about rear fil), Pioneer AVIC-D3, 1 or 2 12's in the back, Alpine PDX 150.4 for the highs and mids and Cadence DCA1600 for the subs. So in my other setups I've always just used the deck and amps' processing, so I've never used an equalizer in my personal setup. Since my components will come with their own passive crossover, and my amps' LPF is good enough for the sub, should I even worry about the crossover with this setup? I just ask cause the HU's equalizer is just like a 3 band and not very tweakable. Would you get an EQ in my situation?

Since the deck only has 3 bands of adjustments you'd get better sound with an external EQ.....I'd go with some sort of trunk mount so you can get a wider variety of tuning.....the litttle dash mount 3-7 bands slider ...knob style help very little...over factory....but do offer some help

I would wait until you get the deck, I have the D3 and you would be surprised the way you can make your system sound with the few features it has. I use to have an 880 and while I do miss 15 bands for tuning, I am very impressed with the D3's sound.

When you get the D3, tweak it a little and use the Studio Sound Stage in the sound option menu. If you dont like that and want to go all out with the tuning, I would consider getting a 360.2 instead of a trunk mount.
