Fook DQ!

I have been working at DQ for almost 2 months, started off at $5.15/hour and just got a raise last week for passing some stupid test which will bring me up to about $5.50/hour. School is about to start back up, and if all goes well I should graduate this year. Just got in from work after being griped at by my *****y manager (she's hot tho)

Everyone there pissed me off tonight, but I figured that I would just have to stick it out since no other jobs are open being that it's summer and all the teens get jobs.

So I get home and find out that the previous owner of a data entry place I used to work at is getting ready to open another date entry center that will be handling National Security stuff. He will be starting people out at $8.60/hour which is pretty good money around here.

Since I worked at one of his previous data entry places, before I quit I had to go through a bunch of tests from the govt. to ensure that I was a "good" employee and would not share their information and such. The test was long and they already have all my info, so hopefully I can get on at the new place making some good dough.

no idea what min wage is here i've always made more than it. first job was at quizno's though awesome job and where i met one of my best friends. started at 6.50 like 6 years ago now. then to academy at 7.50 then to best buy at 7.50. after 3 months at BB was up to 8.50 then 11.75 before i quit. now i make almost double that though for an insurance company that provide's insurance for fortune 500 companies.

I could make more, but they're one of the few places around here that provide full health and dental, which is much more important to me considering my health problems .... Plus I actually like my job ...

Don't know where you work but maybe some sort of call center is my guess. I used to work at rmh/nco for $9.50/hr, and usually got the $1.25/hr bonus for hitting my stats. I fukked a few peoples phones up pretty good, but overall the job was alright. It was only worth it because I could do pretty much as much ot as I wanted. So I would do about 12-20 hours extra each week. Got sick and tired of the bs around there so I found a new job.

Being 23 and not knowing exactly what I want to do for a career kind of sucks. I don't want to go back to school until I am %100 sure what I want to do. Last week I was making $12/hr and that is motivation to get something figured out. Then I got a $2 raise and sit at $14/hr now. That makes it harder to decide to go to school. With minimum wage being $8.05, $14 is decent, not the greatest, but it's the best paying job I've had.

Washington state minimum wage is almost $8 per hour. DQ sucks by the way, once on a road trip I stopped in the middle of the desert in arizona or some crap and had a DQ guy try to jump the counter and beat my ***. Would have been scary if he wasnt like 5'2" tall... lol I won't ever go into another DQ.
