Focal Utopia BE Speakers (possibly FS)

Greetings,

I recently purchased a car and it came with 5.25" Focal Utopia BE speakers (a 5.25" in the door, and a tweeter) and I have a few questions. I plan on replacing the head unit, so I figure I'd replace the speakers as well. I did some research on the Focal speakers and to my amazement found out that they are serious speakers - expensive as heck (over $4,000 retail). I did notice that the ones that had that retail had some type of crossblock - but unfortunately, I don't see that in the car anywhere. So my questions are as follows:

1. Do they make different models of these speakers that do not require this crossblock? If so, what are they worth? I'm wondering if he purchased the speakers without it or if he removed the crossblock before he sold it to me.

2. I don't have any use for $4,000 component speakers. So - that being said - what are these speakers worth on the open market? (one tweeter has a slight tear in it but it doesn't seem to affect sound quality at all and it's covered by the mesh grille)

Any other info that may be worth sharing please feel free to do so.

Although someone that dropped the cash on some BEs surely would have removed them. Also, the block is your crossover and it could be hidden anywhere in the door, under the seat, etc etc....

Don't be so sure.. I have them in hand.. this could be a phenomenal deal for someone who's into this stuff. I have no interest in car audio so I'd be fine with a set of Boston's and a decent head unit.

Had it been 15 yrs ago when I was into car audio (and who wasnt) maybe Id have more of an interest. my "treasure" could be someone elses great deal. Oh and FYI - cant find any crossblock. Perhaps these are thr passive versions? They are stamped 6W2.
