Focal Kit N°6 Utopia

Ive always wondered if they price some speakers high just b/c they know no matter how much they cost somone will buy them. I would say probably not worth it. Spend more money on deadner, eq, ta, and location. I think putting that kind of money into the install would easily be worth the money but not for a product.

I do. I love the speakers. They are in my daily driver/competition vehicle and they just sound incredible. I find myself not wanting to drive our other car due to stock system. I feel like the voices are on the floor and care barely feel a stage. I have had several people big into car and home audio get out of my truck shocked at the sound you can get in a truck. Excellent sound stage and accuracy.

I have the 165 K2P and have never heard better.

And over my 16 years in the industry I have owned, installed, listened to, tested many many different brands and models from competitors, dealers, demo cars, customers, friends, everything.

But SQ can be very subjective. Someone else may not feel the same way that I do.

a guy in other forum just got a set of Focal Utopia 7.

Haven't hook up yet

If your money allows , go for it, it should perform up to the price that you paid

i wonder how those Critical mass sound, never heard of them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. Croossover looks like a copy of older MB Quart series.

I highly doubt they are worth that much, but if you have a hookup go for it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

You would be surprised to hear the sound. The cross over is huge and is very well built and offers very good control over the speakers, though I am running active. I have a friend or two who is running the Utopia Be's with crossover. I was amazed at how much better my soundstage was with no tuning over my old Utopia's (TLR and 6.5" Utopia) That combined with the Focal amps and now the system sounds phenominal.

$700 could get you 95% of the way there. A competent installer and tuner could smoke that set with far less than $700, even. Sound quality isn't subjective, humans are. To create a stereo illusion doesn't take money, it takes knowing your space (ie the confines of a car). Don't let Focal know you found this out.

But those speakers are absolutely gorgeous. The craftsmanship and engineering is amazing.

I've heard this set in two different installs. Pretty good, pretty good. Install is everything.
U're lucky.

Well like above says, there're good speakers for 700$ to 2000$ that could beat this thing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif .... i don't know if my ears are sensitive enough to hear the difference between a 2000$ and 5000$ set though.
