Focal 5 1/4 subwoffers

hey, has anyone heard the focal 5 and a quarter subwoffer? they came out six months ago.

I am curiose how those would do in a specail bandpass box

well, I want to direct all of the sound through my back dash into the cab, so I can eliminate that truck rattle, and improve the sq.

But why with the focal's ? I don't believe the effort would be worthwhile. I'm just looking at the price of the focal's. Lotta moola man. You could accomplish the same thing with several different cheaper drivers. That's why I'm asking. I dont know, I just want to have a nice subsystem. what would you suggest for this idea of porting into the cab? I dont have much space, with the dimensions 11x 34x 12.

I am done with the typical subs facing into the truck designs. do you think I could just get tree eight and band pass them? if so what eights would you use? I am open for ideas .

they have been out for over 3 years now..........theyre ok ad are a good way of getting bass into the front of the car............

but they are expensive..................personally id get you some DD6.5 mids as these have some ill bass...............i have heard 6 of these in a lexus witb around 350RMS up each one, and these are EVIL - can hear them half way down the street - not bad for a 6.5 supposedly "mid-bass" speaker...i have some in my car and they keep up with those ID horns allright!

I waht to build something like this for my car but I want it to be custom.

that Is why I figured I could slap some focal subs in there. i could put at least 10 in there and have some hella good sq and decent spl from this box. like I said I am open to suggestions
