Going to add some baffles to my comps, is there a major difference in the foam and plastic? Specifically, which is better? Also, there is softer and harder plastic, does this make a difference? Thanks for any insight.
Depends on your speakers. Most car audio speakers are designed to play infinite baffle (i.e. no enclosure). Sticking the baffles behind the speaker creates a small encloure, which obviously causes problems if the speaker was designed to play infinite baffle. So, cutting the back or bottom off of the baffle allows the speaker to still be infinite baffle, while still protecting the speaker from water.Cool. Thanks for the input, Squeak. I read of someone cutting a hole in the back of them, to allow air to flow freely. Any benefits to this?
On top or underneath....either way should work. Depends on how much depth you have to work with.so Im figuring the baffle will simply go underneath the extender?
thats a questions only u can answer since we cant see ur car, although if its already hitting the window bar then u probably cant fit the baffle in unless u added a spacercan you use those baffles on a door with roll up windows? my speaker rest against that window bar
