Is everybody ready for Katrina? I don't think it's going to reach hurricane strength, but what the hell do I know.

i'm in vero beach. It's not going to be a hurricane, it's around land, they don't really get much stronger when they are near land. Even though those islands are small, they are enough to keep it from getting much, if any stronger.

I have fuggin Master's classes at FIU Friday @ 2:00 so I'll be driving across Alligator Alley from Fort Myers when it makes landfall. I hope I don't die on the way over!

Are you kidding me, florida waters are over 90F thats more than perfect for a hurricane to gain strength, it will be a cat 1 before it hits, and channel 6 news says it might even jump to a 2 if it slows down.

I'm no hurricane expert, but it's had all day to strengthen and hasn't really done anything.
