Flipping breakers (home electric)

so ive got a bunch of home electronic equipment in my house, and its throwing my breaker in this certain room, which only has a 20A breaker, is there anyway to just upgrade this one breaker to say a 30A +?
yes....kill the main, remove the front panel of the breaker box, remove the wires and replace the breaker.

depends. Id try a new 20a first. They get weaker as they trip more and more. Bump to a 25 first.
that would explain why its flipping more and more, id like to just snap the biggest one i can without fcking anything up to be honest, ive got a lot of juice going through this particular room and not looking at downgrading anytime soon.

sounds pretty simple, how big can i go without burning it down?

Its not hard, and you really cant break anything either while doing the swap.
ftw

unless you forget to kill the main:crap: or be and id10T and touch the main line above the main breaker:eek:

how old is the breaker in question? if fairly old and popping regularly I would start with the 25 as rec. earlier.

dont just kick in the biggest one you can find. You are overloading the circuit. It trips for a reason. BUT if it is an older breaker and has tripped several times, then it is prolly weakened. If you over amp the breaker and it cannot trip, then you risk a fire in the wall... Not a good thing when a wire you cannot see starts burning. Id try a new 20 if that doesnt do it, go with a 25. They are usually $10 each.

house was built in 75, and i doubt they upgraded it since

my house has those old round fuses when ever they blow i just place a penny under it and screw it back in...cheap and easy fix...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
sounds safe.
