this is a follow up to my previous thread about my shitty deck situation...

Well, i went to good vibes today cause my BRAND NEW cd5000 liked to turn itself up in volume...P.O.S! so the guy carl finally didnt give me any shit and was like ..."you want this?" refering to the deh-7800...which i did want. i said yes. so he starts putting it in, then he whips out a little suprise..."i just got this and i cant wait to put it in"...it was a 9800bt...i been looking for those fvcking decks for months now and cant find them in stock anywhere. but carl says he has like 75 of them at his warehouse. so i ****ing jumped on that shit!!! the 9800bt DOES work with my motorola e815 despite the fact that it says on the website that it wont. and its is a truely insane deck. its so fvcking sweet i love it!!! i cant wait to really get into it and read up on the features in the manual. the only problem is that carl said the ipod interface for pioneers hasnt been released yet....is that true? cause i thought it was. but this deck can also accept an ipod via bluetooth...which id prefer...but how will the sq compare?

The ipod adapter has been out for quite a while, man. I also think the price was cut in half, down to $50 from $100.

Sounds like you need to find a new shop, and tell Carl to screw himself.

yeah thats what i thought. i coulda swore i saw it for like $40 actually. how is it? any1 know? i heard pioneers interfaces are slow...

i was about to kill this guy carl until he showed me the 9800bt, i almost busted a nut when i saw it

i forgot, carl didnt say the interface was never released, he said it was on backorder everywhere. i just checked a bunch of places online like crutchfield and BB and it IS on backorder....BUT 1 CC near me has 1 in stock and im about to order it online (only $45!). but first i wanna know more about the BT one...so any1 know anything about this bluetooth ipod interface?

If only it weren't another Cyclops hu. I'm not one for a LARGE single knob in the middle of the unit. But, after having the Premier 860, I'm sure the 9800 is bad ***.

yeah ****, its prwtty ****ing sweet. the knob does ****...but thats why they give you a remote ya know.

Yeah, you'll love this HU. My friend and I have tried pairing the unit up with an O2 PDA/cellphone with A2DP capabilities and it was able to play crisp stereo sound. The HU was able to control the cellphone mp3 player and vica versa. Now I'm looking to buy a bluetooth Ipod.

yeah, so far so good. the only complaint i have so far is that the volume knob is a ***** to turn, but i really dont care cause i just use the remote anyways. i still gotta set my gains and hook up my ipod. then well see how she really works. i saw a compatibility list a while back. i thought it was on pioneers website, but maybe it wasnt. well i dont care, my phone works on it. i took a video of it on my way up to bloomsburg yesterday but its crappy so ill get some pix and post them up

Yeah, that remote is totally sweet. I love the round dial on it for listing tracks, going up and down folders, fast forwarding, reversing, etc. I don't touch my HU anymore, I just use the remote all the time.

yeah it is sweet. i was kinda disapointed though cause i thought the remote had a button on it that you could program do do whatever you want (i.e. pause), but i dont see it on this remote. it dont matter though, cause switching to phone mode pauses the music anyways.
