5 of my own post in a row, its sad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

edit2: how hard is to move the air conditioning controls to maybe to the right of the drivers feet on the dash thingy (hard to explain), if i could do that i could put a 7 inch screen there and then one on the back of the console
any of those monitors you listed above will give you a good picture, they just probably wont look as good cosmetically. As far as moving your air/heat controls go, its easy in some cars, and a ***** in others. I moved them in my regal and it was cake...my Grand Marquis is another story...what kind of car you putting all this in?

2001 ext cab chevy 4 door, monitor wise im prolly gonna get 2 7 inch clarion one in the back of the console and trying to put one in the radio-ac part

heres what im working with

http://www.sounddomain.com/member_pages/show_image.pl?image=member_img_a/341000-341999%2F341031_6_full.jpg

that is a pic o just found on sounddomain real quik, its pretty much the same except for not having the conolse come all the way to the dash

and this is what i want to do in the back, i talked to a clarion dealer and he said it should fit in this housing

http://www.sounddomain.com/member_pages/show_image.pl?image=member_img_b/269000-269999%2F269377_18_full.jpg

and im gonna do it with these monitors

http://www.clarion.com/multimedia/multi10.htm

thats the plan so far ne ways

edit: its not the big 4 door it the one where you have to open the front 2 to open the back

are you gonna put the front monitor in a console like the back is, or are you planning on putting it in the dash?

All, in all I think youve made a good choice on products and its gonna look very very nice...I like that rear console...smooooth:cool:

prolly pioneer premier p740mp but im not dead set on it or anything. i want to put it in the dash where the stock radio and ac controls are. my truck doesnt have the console under the dash. the back will be pretty easy to install 2. what dvd player would you choose for under 225 or so?

after a bit of thought i decided i will prolly go with a eclipse (they have a aux input). here is a crappy system diagram i threw together in a couple of minutes. what do u think of the dvd player? and what do u think of the rest of the system?

That looks like a really nice system, I only wish I could afford something like that. As far as head units go, eclipse is up there with the best of them, you made a good decision, and the aux input will be a lot better than the FM Modulator...As far as components go try checking out these if you dont want to spend the $ on the kodas: Alpine, Rockford Fanatic Q, Boston, Infinity, Rainbow, CDT, etc...Those are just some names that come to mind...personally I have heard nothing but great things about the Kodas, might just want to save up the cash and get them...

well thanks for all your input, this will be my summer project and for winter im prolly gonna add another re amp/sub. im gonna think put alot of thought in the components, i dont know what to do yet but i will decide when the time is right. for the box i am going to make a all out spl box about 6 cubes and then make a bigger port tuned real low to go inside the spl port for daily drivin and i will also make a plug to seal it for good sq. all this will be wrapped in viynl (including the ports) and the wing nuts for changable ports will be chrome. im gonna do my best to make the system look at good as hell. (im getting in detail to much, lol) ne ways thanks for all your help
