Flip down monitor keeps falling down HELP!!!!

Hello fellow bass heads, this is my first post on here so i am sorry if this is in the wrong place or whatever , but anyway on to my problem. Irecently upgraded my system in my Yukon to 2 Kicker l7's 15's an a Orion d5000. It hits pretty decent lol but my only problem is it is hitting so hard my tv keeps falling down. I was told to put a piece of then wood up there an mount the monitor to that, but i was just wondering what the proper way should be for me to do this! Thanks!

how do you have it mounted now? just screwed into the carpet on the ceiling?

Yes its just screwed into the headliner..well it was lol

Generally youre supposed to mount it to the roof frame ontop of the headliner. If you have a fiberglass headliner i guess it would be different.

when mine was installed, they put a square piece of thick plastic in between the headliner and the roof to screw into. if not, you'll screw through the roof!

I have alway's used a scrap piece of wood lying around, I never had a problem and I have a 13.5 inch flip-down that way's a ton.
