My 16gig flash drive is now full and I'm looking into a 64gig now. Question is will USB 3.0 work fine with the 80prs? My current is 2.0. Don't know the difference between the two honestly..

Should I bother paying extra for 3.0 over 2.0?

transfer speed is the difference. The link you provided shows a 2.0 flash drive but in any case, you can use a 3.0 flash drive in 2.0 slots. it will only transfer as fast as the slot/port can though so you'll just get 2.0 performance, which doesn't matter on head units.
