Flared Horn Slot Port

with the amount of port area a flare was not really needed

and the box liner almost flattens right out when cured

I know it's not a true horn..it is a slot port

with a horn looking flare..maybee I should have

worded it differently "Horn flared slot port"

And I just have to ask, if you were flaring the port to reduce turbulence, why on Earth would you basically glue rocks to the opening?

I believe his main reason for flaring was for wow factor in the looks and detail department, not performance. If he liks texture then so be it. He has already clealy stated they can be ordered without the texture. Now get off his nuts.

If you understood fluid dynamics coupled with air flow engineering as it pertains to acoustical dynamics bumps along the flare are good. Just not this style.

Whether the port being flared adds deebeez or not is irrelevant. What you can be certain of, is that if he took that much time on doing a tedious detail like that with no real promise of better performance being measurable, then you bet your *** the rest of the box is just as good. I'm sure it performs quite admirably.

Your comments were unfounded for not reading the thread and seeing he said it would lay flatter and that people could get it without. He defended his case already on the subject, so you asking again without reading previous statements made it look like you were on the mans nuts.
