Just ordered a pair of kicker 8's, 200RMS a piece. They were dirt cheap, and figured it would be fun to mess around with em, and i'll get some good box building practice. Not sure if these are going in my girlfriends trunk or if i want to build some kind of stealth enclosure for my explorer and leave em in there for when i sell it, so i can take my R's with me, but anyways.....

what kind of specs do yall follow for these? i would like to port em, so what kind of volume and tuning does everyone ussually put these in? From the looks of it now, there gonna see about 300w total. Im gonna use my old beat up 2ch kenwood that puts out 300@4ohms, and sand/paint it a solid color so it doesnt look like crap heh.

blah i keep rambling! Lets here what you all like to use box-wise for 8" subs!

bump!

i was thinking around 1.5-1.75 cubes total, tuned to 32hz. i want these to get as low as possible, although they ARE 8's. should i go more airspace for the low tuning or what do you all think?
