First time repairing an amp: can I replace a cap with a higher voltage cap?

I don't think it matters, but I'd like to double check before starting.

I have a bad cap in the muting circuit. It is 16 volt 100uf. I have a 50 volt 100uf cap to replace it with. This shouldn't make a difference correct?

I went ahead and did it. I needed the practice! After fixing my job twice. I got something I am happy with. And the amp works great! If anyone cares I took a few pics.

Its ok to replace caps with higher voltage but not a diffrent Fared. Make sure you watch poliraty or you can do some damage if you mess it up.
