its not the most original tattoo ever but it does look good. I know a couple people who have their last name on their back. you will wish you had more with it in about a year. good start though. a western theme would go great with it. just my 2 cents

I think the OP should have checked with us before getting the tattoo. It sounds like most of the forum does not approve of placing "Smith" on one's back in permanent ink.

In short, this tattoo is a failure.

nice for your first tat . you will be wanting more later 6 months from now. thats what happened to me except I didnt get my name on my back, I did a full color whole back piece and just started my sleeving both my arms to the wrists.
