First Real System

hey guys, i been lurking on this forum for quite a while. after much research and listening to setups, i finally have thought of what im going to be running. a friend of mine got his hands on 2 DD 1012's brand new for cheap. i bought a DD M1 (black and silver amp) off a member on a different forum. i plan on building my first box which will be one of moe lesters designs which would be 3.5 cubed tuned to 32-35hz dont know which one yet. i will be purchasing nisaznmonk's dd c2 amp which will power rainbow slc's that im saving up for now. I know your thinking "why buy the amp before the speakers?" its because his are the black and silver and it will match the M1 that i purchased. so i dont want to wait and find out that he sold his amps. all this will be going into an 03 accord coupe. what do ya'll think? also if anyone can help me on what wiring to get, i plan on going 1/0 gauge to 2 4 gauge. and on some good sound deadening that wont break the bank (had raamat on my mind). thanks guys

nope, but its the same color and will have the same kit and will be slammed, im just lazy to install them, ill install the lipkit and coilovers after summer school in july. im saving up for these 20" 3 peice gold wheels.

I'd personally run a pair of 2512"s over the 1000s in fact I don't think the 1000's are made anymore because the 500's are so close to them it was pointless to have them and the 1500's took their place... the m1's can drop REAL low I've heard of a couple guys doing like .175ohms for burps, for daily it'd love the 1ohm load a pair of d4 subs would show it... other than that it looks like a nice system in the works... I'd do the 35hz tune also. I tried a couple different tunes for my DD and like 34-35hz pretty good see the vid in my sig, 1 9510F 1 pg xenon x600.1. slot ported box with a little less than 3 cubes about 42in^2 port tuned to 34hz, you're gonna want to put like three layers of matt deadener on the liscense plate back lol. late!

thanks, the 2512's are costin me 250 each over here, i got the 1012's for 100 each. i plan on upgrading to the 2512's when i get more money. this is just a first system that i plan on doin a custom trunk setup. and since dd subs use the same box's i can just easily swap out the 1012's to 2512 when im ready. no need to make a new box since 3.5 is the biggest i can put in my car.
