I made a account only to ask this question. I'n due for a upgrade and I'm done with mainstream. I've done a ton of research and I'm more confused then before I started looking. Right now I got two JL W0v2s and a alpine mrp-m500.

I really want to hear a huge difference and watch my windshield flex( it tries to already ). This set-up was a upgrade form 2 JL WXs with a pioneer 400RMS and it was a big difference.

I have ordered a Powerbass ASA1500 with a kicker 1/0 wiring kit and did the big 3. Car is a 2010 Scion tC, I'm starting the box build this weekend. With a rear firing set-up the largest I can get is 3.5 shared chamber with 38 of port and a 33Hz tune. I might could get a little bigger firing up but I'm not sure it will sound good bouncing off the hatch window.

Ok here is my list so far.. I'm open to all opinions. All are 2 12s

DC lvl 3

DD2512

IA lethal injections

Sundown SA-12

AQ

looking at FI, T3 but I dont see anything that will match my RMS(1500 at 1ohm or a little less on 12V)

I'm in the Virginia Beach area, the only one of these dealers that I have found close is DD(about 3 hours away)

Oh. To answer the question before its asked! I want bass thats louder and lower then the W0s and better SQ then a couple L7s.

Budget is at or around $450 for both. I would really like to stick with 12s, thats what i have always had since my first HX2 back in the day and my playlist is tailored to them. The DD is my first but most $ choice so far. I found 2 IAs for sale $280 for the pair in my area but to be honest I dont like buying used.

I was kinda of hesitant to buy used as well but now i do it a lot lol... You could buy mine run it for awile then send it to get it reconed and have a twin made for it...

How was my amp choice? It was between the Powerbass, cadence zrc1200, soundstream 1500 and the Hifi Brutus 1700. And with my newer car, only 10K miles so far will the big 3 be enough? Maybe a Kinetik 1800 under the hood is all I got the funds for right now.

The wife hates my hobby so the funds get cut sometimes but I figured selling my current set up will pay for the new subs and more dynamat. And I really wished I would of done more research before I got my JLs and amp.

I think the buying used thing got me about 10 years ago when I bought a sport bike, they require the same breakin love as subs. Long story short... It wasnt quite broke in right and lasted about a month. Ended costing me about 800 to fix it. I almost could of bought a new one after it was all said and done.
