First ported enclosure for Ledoux289

Well I decided when I got home from work tonight I was going to start the build of my box for my 2 Eclipse Aluminum 10's. The design is 2.5 cubic feet of airspace for the 2 subs at 35hz and 37.5 sq inches of port. Anyway I had my local national hardware chain cut down my MDF into 3 pieces so that I could get it in my Focus to get home. Today I made my first cut on of all things a table saw. This is the outcome.

Needless to say I am going to start over. That was supposed to be the top piece. I'm waiting for my dad to drop off a circular saw that I can clamp down a straight edge with and cut a straight line. I'll either get some more pics up later tonight or I'll get some up tomorrow. Anyway just thought it was pretty **** funny. More to come............

It sure was. I was trying to cut a 4 foot x 4 foot piece of MDF on a table saw on the ground. I couldn't push that wood straight for nothing. It just kept wondering back and forth. The saw isn't wide enough to use a guide so I had to eyeball it all the way down. By the time I got to about a foot left to cut the whole table saw wanted to fall over backwards from the weight of the wood coming off the back. Needless to say that was a piss poor attempt at get started.

Good news my parents called, they are going to drop by in a half hour or so. My daughter just crashed out, so I'm not sure if I'm going to cut anything tonight after all. I'll probably get started around 9:00 or 10:00 tomorrow morning.
