First Hand Experience

Looking for some economical suggestions on entry level 6.5" component set paired with a 5x8 coaxial speaker set. I was looking into the infinity reference component set and matching 6x8 speakers. I can get them for a good price ( Futureshop Employee Pricing Program ) I was torn between those and the MTX Dome axial components again for a similar price. I will be running them off of a Rockford P400-4, Just wondering is anyone has had experience with either, about there power handling, as well as output.

Im running infinity reference 6x8 comps and coaxials. They are being powered by an infinity 5350a amp.

They sound really good in my opinion. I just added in a kenwood x792 HU and there was a noticeable increase in overall sound quality.

If it were me and I could take advantage of an employee program I would get better speakers, wouldnt mess with what retail sells as "inexpensive" because you should be able to get a mid line to a highend line for about the same price as an el cheapo retail priced set. Then again there is still ebay LOL
