Hey guys,

Well, I drove all the way yo tuscon from Phoenix, AZ to check out the SPL contest. I managed to end up in the stock 600-1800 class. So, since I am new to this, I made some mistakes.

I was pissed went he made us wear the stupid ear muffs. I couldnt adjust my tunes to it. Anyhow, it did not do well with that. I hit 135. Is that good? for two 12"s on 1100 RMS @ 2ohms? I am seriousely thinking about getting one more identical amp and runing them Parrell. I am not sure how much it would be then, but I am sure it would be plenty? The box is a 3.5cube slotted at 31Hz with 55sq inches of air flow.

Does it change class if I put the seats down>?

I just know my shit hits WAY harder than it did at the show. People kept looking when I was parked in da street maximizing the output settings. I love bass cd's, I was playing Bass 305 and it was slamming. Do you think my car gets stage Frght? I dont even know if I won a trophy. I had to leave. I wil check the web tmw if I can remember what it was. I value your input.

You could probably do a better number than that. It's really gonna come down to box and design and the vehicle itself. What kinda car ya drive?

I do over 140 with 2 400rms el cheap subs in a sealed box off 1000rms in a trunk with seats down. You may gain a little with them down, but not like night and day.

You should be louder than that though. I did 138.4 in same car with one CVX Kicker in a sealed box off 750rms.

These were all TL scores as well.

Well the amp is only doing 1100 at 2ohms, That right there is way under powered. I dont even think that is pushing rated power. I hooked up a linedrive to amplify the RCA voltage and that make a bigger difference.

I know it can get alot louder than then that stupid test cd. Like I said , the box is 3.5 tuned at 31hz, I couldnt fit anything bigger in my cavalier. We tried to make a box for high output @ 4.3 tuned to 35 but the bich wouldnt fit in the trunk. It was alot louder than this current box. I am gonna have to get a bigger amp I guess.

you should be able to do more though

get more power and maybe chance the box

upper 130's

maybe low 140's

Well, who knows when there will be another show here in AZ. pisses me off that there arent more show down here. Most the poeple at this show had 15"s and 18"s ., I think I was the only one in this class. Oh well

used to have a lot of good sized local and USACI comps several years back

now that im finally home from the military there are NO shows here

have to drive 3+ hours to get to one worth going to now

What should I do to get it louder? I am not making a new box, That is a pain in the azz. Any amp suggestions? Should I get another

I would get a new amp if I were you, that pa amp isnt doing rated power, look into sundown or possibley a nice kicker amp, whatever your budget allows really, if you dont have the money to get a nice amp now, wait and save up until you can get a nice one instead of buying another junk amp...

more power, tune higher. my single sx did 139.1 before i got a 2nd batt its in 4 cubes @ 31hz tune at 36

ok explain ... Is this RMS specs? and are they doing rated power. I am running a 2ohm load, or I can find a different amp that runs at .5 ohms @ 1800 RMS.... any Ideas?
