First Credit Card

I'm somewhat curious as to why?
If you pay your balance off at the end of every month, you will incur no interest charges. Pay attention to the rewards so you can take advantage.

I put about 95% of purchases on my card. ( I would do 100% but not all places accept AmEx) I then get a 1-2% bonus for using the card.

So, at the end of every month, I am about $14-20 more dollars ahead than when I started.

If I carried a balance (like you don't pay off the total) then I would be more concerned with interest rate.

Having a CC is a good thing in case of emergencies.

Avoid Chase.

They love increasing their rates.

I had an account with them for over 10 years, never late, never over limit, and I had to cancel the account when they jumped the interest rate from the 12.9% I had for 6 straight years and tried to charge 29.9%.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif
