I currently have a ZX1000 and I am considering buying a 12" FIQ with the BP power upgrade. My question is will this amp be sufficient or safe to run and power that sub considering it runs at 2ohm stable and the sub at like 1.4 ohms or some weird rating like that? If not what other amps should i consider running for that sub? I've seen alot on Sundown 1500's but unless i sell the ZX i dont really have cash to spare for a new amp. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

huh? there site only shows this

can they still do it via special order or am i missing something? I'm kinda confused now

u missed that

Yes, u can wire dual 1ohm in series(i believe) and the amp will see 2ohm
ah ok. So where I'm getting confused is the meaning behind those specs. What is the RE rating compared to the D1 and D2 ratings.

I now get D1 is Dual 1ohm and D2 is Dual 2 ohm but what is the RE .7 and 1.4 ohms

thanks for the input it helped alot.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

I believe that's DCR, it's not important to know. Or maybe it is, but I don't know why it is, so i don't bother with that
um... ya its important //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

getting the dual 1 ohm (.7 each coil) wiring up would result in a 1.4 ohm load. Now we all know the amp will not always see a 1.4 ohm load, it may never see that ohm load. the way the box is power and other variables will change the ohms the amp see's at different times. I would say it is safe to get the dual 1 ohm version of that woofer and hook it up with that amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So it is somewhat important but its not as much as the other ohm rating, i kinda get it now ....thx 4 the input fellas. greatly appreciated!
