Finishing layer

Bondo'd my box and got it all sanded down very smooth. im putting on primer next before paint but my question is what kind of primer? like..primer in a spray can? or primer for walls? home depot kinda primer? what should i be using here?

spray can is fine and will lay on smoother. What you using for final coat/finish?

I just did some med gray fleckstone with a clear coat and it looks pimp as hell. And NO crazy sanding like gloss black...

if its inside the box you do not want it exactly smooth

im doing a maroon glossy top coat with several coats of lacquer after that. so primer in a can will give me the best surface? sounds good thanks
