im glad to see that the l7 did good since i am getting one soon. What amp was it run off of and how much power was it given.

i find it hard to believe the 12 inch l7 got louder than a 15 xxx in every vehicle

ill tell ya this, my 2 12" RE SEs sealed 1.0 cu ft with total 1200 watts beat out 2 12" L7's 4.0 cu ft ported 35 hz ported with 1200 watts. I didnt meter this but i can just tell. ALL INSTALL. If you got mad room go for the L7's, but the SE'w will sound better and work in a smaller enclosure.

the L7 werent put in the EXACT same box.. so it couldnt be ENTIRELY fair without destroying a few friend's boxes.

it was used in a 2.5 cube and a 3.5 cube.. boxes i had discovered over time were PRECISELY what the sub called for... as for the xxx, it was put in gereralized "perfect" boxes for various subs, to test it in all conditions.. a huge air space high tune ported, a average space with 2 different tunings, and a tight space with average tuning.. so it tested it on all levels.

to be quite honest i think that the xxx isnt all its cracked up to be. the difference between the dd 9915 and the xxx were astronomical. xxx did however sound a significant amount better than the dd when hitting those numbers, so thats the trade off.

read the box sizes for the l7s.. 2.5 and 3.5
