Blew the last one after about a year. Just got the replacement. Fi Q 12" with a audioque 1200d amp in a sealed box (this was my first build so I just made a sealed box since it was easier).

This time I made sure to set the gain with a DMM. I figured since its a dual 2 coil (hooked to 1 ohm) and 1200 RMS of power being fed to it, I should aim for about 34.6 v, correct? It's sounding good with the gain set there, but is there anything else I can do to drive the most potential out of it? The LPF is set to around 100 hz and the subsonic is about 30 hz. I am using no bass boost as I heard this is bad, but what do you guys think? safe to use a little or should I just avoid it?

usually yes you do not use subsonic filted with a sealed enclosure
I was thinking a subsonic filter is generally used to filter frequencies below box tuning. Its been so long since I have ran a sealed set up I couldn't say for certain though.

OP, try turning off the subsonic filter, or maybe lowering it to around 20-25. You may pick up some lows that you're missing with it on.
